Every summer The Wilds and The Wilds of New England hire over 300 enthusiastic college-age staff members to serve during the summer camp season. Our goal for the Summer Partner Program is for each summer staffer to raise at least $750. By partnering with a staff member with your tax-deductible donation, you not only help support a staff member, but you also help us keep our camper fees as low as possible.
As a partner, you will receive a note from your staff partner each week so you can share in the staff member’s ministry by upholding them in prayer and being an encouragement to them throughout the summer. Whether as a church, an individual, or an organization, please join us in the Summer Partner Program and partner in a special gospel ministry that serves over 1,600 campers each summer!

The Wilds of New England is a division of The Wilds Christian Association, Inc., which is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Contributions to The Wilds of New England are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
A Sustainer is an individual, church, or organization that commits to regularly pray for and financially support The Wilds of New England. The faithful, regular support of Sustainers is an invaluable component of our ministry. Since a Sustainer’s financial gifts are not designated for a specific project, The Wilds is able to use them for the greatest needs in the camp’s operation. Approximately 20% of our operating budget comes from the charitable support of our dear friends! This program ultimately allows us to keep our camper costs low, enabling us to share the Truth of God with the love of God to the largest number of campers possible.
Sustainers are comprised of people who have had various relationships with The Wilds Christian Association. These friends are former staff, former campers, parents of campers, local churches, and even organizations and businesses! The thing that all of these people and organizations have in common is that they believe in the mission of The Wilds and want to take part in it.

“The Needs Corner” itemizes multiple specific needs in our ministry. The majority of the items listed would enhance the experience of our campers but are not a necessity; therefore, they are not being purchased through our normal budgeting process. A key supportive structure at The Wilds of New England is the many volunteers who donate their time and skills to maintain and develop the campsite. Their efforts allow us to minister the Truth of God with the love God to thousands of campers each year.
Below are a few different ways to get involved volunteering at The Wilds of New England. We hope one of them is a fit for you.
The Mainstay! These groups are the main support structure to help The Wilds “get things done.” They play a key role in areas of development such as new projects, maintaining facilities, and adding activities. The groups typically stay for a few days to a week and bring a mix of skill levels, ranging from the helper to the professional. Some groups come at a set time every year, and others come occasionally for specific projects. We need YOU! The Wilds has many friends of the ministry with diverse and valuable skillsets. When these individuals come and work alongside our maintenance team, they multiply what we are able to accomplish. Many hands make light work! Throughout the year, we have service days when either youth groups or college age groups come to help with large tasks such as mulching, washing windows, hauling brush, staining, preparing the facilities for summer, and other various jobs.If you are a youth or college group leader and would be interested in bringing your group for a service day, please click below and fill out the form.
Summer is coming! The week before we train our summer staff, there are a lot of details we must attend to in order to accommodate the increase in camper numbers (which we love ☺). Things like cleaning, staining, moving beds and mattresses, grounds work, setting up program equipment (and much more) occupy our time that week. During this time, it is possible to bring your family and work together. However, there is no childcare provided. Availability for this week is limited. Calling all handymen (and ladies). Once a year, we set aside a week to go through many of our buildings and do general maintenance such as minor repairs, painting, updating furniture, cleaning air conditioners, organizing supplies, etc. During this week, it is possible to bring your family and work together. However, there is no childcare provided. Availability for this week is limited. Every year, we hear of kids who cannot come to camp because of some financial struggle (pastor/missionary, inner city, broken home, etc.). We want God’s truth to be available to any junior or teen who can get here, so we have our Camper Scholarship Fund to help meet these needs.

Dear Friends,
As a child, I thought that the gifts around the Christmas tree were the best thing in the world! I loved shaking them or trying to peek in the flaps of the wrapping paper to see what was inside. (My mom eventually developed anumbering system to replace our names on the tags so we would stop peeking.) As best as we were able, we would hold back our excitement until Christmas morning when we seemed to just let it all loose. We always made a huge mess of our living room. The sounds of paper ripping were followed by joyous screams when we discovered what was inside the box. What little kid doesn’t enjoy getting a new, exciting toy for Christmas?
Now that I am a dad of four excitable little boys, I am on the other end of many of those gifts. I not only get the joy of seeing my kids opening presents, but I get to enjoy hearing an enthusiastic “THANK YOU!” from one of them who just opened something he had been requesting for a long time.
Right now I feel like that little kid who is about to burst with excitement and scream out “THANK YOU!” I don’t know if you can “hear” the enthusiastic tone in my voice, but I truly want you to know that we are grateful. Thank you for . . .
