Summer 2019 Update

What an incredible summer 2019 was! This year we finished our 11th year of summer camp at The Wilds of New England, and this year brings our total number to 13,344 summer campers reached since 2009. This summer alone we were able to minister to 1,325 campers throughout our 9 weeks of camp which included 2 junior weeks and 7 teen weeks with 2 CIT weeks.

We had 50 wonderful summer staff who faithfully loved and served the campers all summer. Our counselors, kitchen staff, program staff, office girls, and maintenance crew worked long and tiring hours all summer with the joy of the Lord so each camper could have a life-changing week. God truly blessed us with another amazing summer staff!

This was our first summer of having our services in our new Barn, and we are still truly amazed to see how God provided every dollar necessary to build such an amazing building. During week 1 we were able to see the first camper trust Christ as his Savior out on the beautiful Barn porch! Throughout the rest of the summer we saw hundreds of campers respond to the preaching of God's Word and either trust Christ as their Savior or make decisions to have a closer relationship with Him out on that Barn porch. We look forward to many years of God using the Barn as a tool to further His kingdom!

Another ministry we are able to have in the summer is to local churches all over New England. We sent 9 young preachers from our staff along with music teams to preach and minister to 17 different churches. Not only is this a blessing to the churches we visit, but it's a blessing to our staff to be able to minister to and see the bright light that these churches are able to be across the spiritually dark area of New England.

We thank each individual who prayed for The Wilds of New England this summer! Your prayers made a lasting impact on the lives of many campers and staff. We're already planning for next summer and excited to see how God will continue to work at The Wilds of New England!
