Dear Friends,
The year of 2020 has been one of constant changes that we were not expecting: Covid, no summer camp, social distancing, and masks. We are so thankful that none of this has taken God by surprise! Even through all of the changes, we were able to take camp on the road to 12 different churches and host a Day of Camp at each place. God worked and we were able to minister to over 1,100 people!
The incredible beauty of New England's changing leaves reminds me that my God "loves" change. Changing leaves and changing lives are both beautiful in His eyes.
When my son was 3 years old, I vividly remember him frantically waking me up at 2:30 in the morning. While staring out the window at a beautiful night complete with a full moon and designer clouds, he asked a very simple question. "Daddy, what does God look like?” Have you ever tried to describe to a 3-year-old at 2:30 in the morning what God looks like? Not an easy task. So, to answer my little guy's question, I decided to spend the rest of my life attempting to "change” to Christlikeness, showing my son what God really looks like. I still have a long way to go.
As you consider the ministries that you might help with a year-end, tax-deductible gift, please consider what God would have you do to help His work at and through The Wilds of New England. Your gracious and generous gifts are used to enable The Wilds of New England to give God's wonderful truth in a loving way so that hundreds of lives are "changed" for His glory.
I know this is a short note, but I really want to crawl back into my Jeep and go see some more of God's handiwork in His ever-changing New England art gallery. Yes, both changing leaves and changing lives are beautiful in God's eyes.
Yours for youth,
Rand
