Summer Staff

Summer Positions

Our summer counselors are wonderfully crazy but fully on fire for their Lord and Savior. Their main responsibility is to be with the campers and to help them in anyway they can. Making sure the campers stay safe, eat and drink sufficiently, attend all the camp activities, and get their sleep are all part of the job.

However, their favorite “job” is impacting the campers lives by sharing the truth of God’s Word in a specific way that helps the campers take the next step in their spiritual lives. The lives that are changed because one counselor spent that extra minute with a camper is life-changing!

Potential TWNE Counseling staff must have completed at least one year of college or attended our CIT (Camper In-Training) leadership program to be eligible for consideration as a counselor.

Summer Operational Staff

The "hub" that keeps the cog running is called our Operational Staff (or Op Staff). This staff makes the camp continue ticking. They are the prayer warriors for our counseling staff and make sure Cool Beans, Sweet Shoppe, and General Store are staffed and available for our campers throughout the week.

Operational Staff application preference is attendance to our CIT (Camper In Training) leadership program and at least 3-4 references listed. Previous experience in the following described positions is not required:

Maintenance Crew: Our crew is responsible to keep the place looking good through the everyday landscaping work and ongoing building projects.

Cook: Our cooks prepare 3 meals a day as well as unload food trucks, lead crew devotions, and fill other operational roles.

Waitress: The life of a waitress involves serving camper/staff tables 3 times a day, staffing the Sweet Shoppe, Cool Beans Coffee Shop, and our General Store, and meeting other special needs as they arise.

Dishwasher: Although we have a full-sized industrial washer that cleans and sanitizes our dishes, the machine still requires the personal touch of 3 dishwashers who scrape, rinse, and put away the clean dishes 3 times a day.

Program: The Program Staff has the unique job of “wearing a lot of hats” as they run games, clean bath houses, operate the programmed activities, lifeguard, work the shops, sing in the services, and invest in campers.

Office: The word “details” describe what our office ladies handle hundreds of times a day as they do the secretarial work, process camper registrations, assign campers to cabins, answer the phone, and manage the General Store.
